Actually, there was also a basin there, but that fit should be found
between central South America and Antarctica looking at older rocks,
according to the age of continental floor:

There is no evidence that Antarctica and Central South America were ever
connected. And I have no idea why you think that map make supports your
thesis, since Antarcica is even on it.
