There was some severe weather in my state last night

Hey,
I'm Crystal and I'm a newbie. There was some severe thunderstorm and
tornado warnings to the North of me. I live in southeastern Wisconsin
and Northern and western Wisconsin gets all the severe weather and the
watches and warnings that come with it.
Year after year, summer after summer, I've seen the northern counties
getting severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. When they get it, we get
some thunderstorms too. One thunderstorm knocked the power off last
night for about ten minutes. Then early this morning because it was so
windy, the power got knocked out again for about a half hour.
Oh how we take electricity for granted! A few years ago, back in 2000,
my town got a tornado. It was a small tornado but it was strong enough
to cut off a lot of people's power. My friend Desi didn't get hers back
until three days after the storm passed.
After the tornado passed, there was plenty of thunderstorms that night.
