Which year are you talking about?  In 2004, Jeanne
expired over southern GA after hitting FL.  Six days
later Hurricane Lisa went extratropical east of
Spain.

I don't know if moisture that once circulated around
Jeanne got entrained into Lisa's circulation.  That
would be an extremely generous definition of merge,
IMO.
