Well, the cause and effect early on isn't so clear. For an alternative
view point
read the book _The Long Summer: How Climate Changed Civilization_ by
Brian
Fagan. I think the subtitle indicates his take on the cause and
effect. To the
extent climate change is driven by human activity, it certainly can be
argued
that less humans could lead to less human activity and thus slower
climate
change.
