Hmm. Why can't we harness the enerbvgy of hurricanes? Wouldn't those
spinning winds drive generators, and produce electricity? Maybe that could
prevent blackouts. And the electricity could be stored for future use. Also
storm surge might drive generators.
As for storm surge, if we had concave curved sea walls, maybe that
would dump the surge back on itself, resulting in net zero force. Then there
are giant sponges, but that might accidentally soak up the ocean.
