The Atmosphere by Professor E J Houston Ph.D. 1908 Oroginal owners
inscription,otherwise VGC 326 pages.
Really exceptional vintage science book in lovely condition.The scan
makes the front board look a little faded but this is not the case!
Does pretty much what it says on the front.Covers it's subject in huge
detail .
Some headings:- Shape,Height & omposition of the atmosphere/ Wonders of
atmospheric pressure / Sound waves of the atmosphere /Very cold winters
& hot summers / Devil winds /Exploration of the higher regions of the
atmosphere /St Elmo's fire /Ozone /The Ignis Fatuus,or the will o the
wisp /Storms,Cyclones,tornadoes,whirlwinds & waterspouts/Lightening &
thunder etc.
