Yes, and they're both in Rhode Island. They were "rebuilt" like most
hurricane devistated beaches using imported sand to restore the severe
erosion.

A book I'm reading says the 1938 hurricane wiped Bailey's Beach and

Newport Beach, off the map. I guess these are beaches in Newport,
Maryland,
not other-named towns, although the hurricane hit all over New England.
My question is: Is there still a Newport Beach and a Bailey's Beach? If
they are still there, that would seem pretty strange.
