Super Typhoon Ioke

Central Pacific super typhoon Ioke is currently predicted by the
JTWC to make a direct hit on Wake Island:

Of course, that's still a couple of days away, so maybe it'll miss.
Interesting long-lived system. It has been monitored since 20060816
when it was at about 10N 143W. It's now at 16N 177E.

They were referring to it as "cp0106" until today (20060828) when it
was changed to "wp0106". (But maybe that is just a glitch at the
JTWC. They do seem to have some..., err..., careless staff there.)
