I have remembered steam engines. They exhaust the mixture of the
smoke from coal with steam. It had nice smell. Nice means healthy.
Is this aspect ivestigated?
No!
Almonds smell nice; hydrogen cyanide (HCN) smells of almonds (I
read); so HCN is good for you?
Benzene smells nice; benzene can give you cancer.
Simple aryl esters smell very nice and fruity - "glue sniffing" can
be lethal.
Hypothesis - if it smells nice it can kill you!
This your answer has arrived to me after 2 days. The first such
events. Your hypothesis is correct. It means: if it smells nice it is
your ally and it kill your enemis (fungus. toxic molds, spores etc.).
But you must be carefull - it can kill also you (if too much for you).
The key is the natural proportion. In the human body is 20% C and 0.2%
S. The proportion is 1:100. Such proportion is in fresh smoke. After
rain is smaller. Now are such numbers (example):
"The NAAQS for sulfur dioxide is measured in three ways: an annual
arithmetic mean of 0.03 parts per million; 0.14 ppm averaged over 24
hours and 0.50 parts per million averaged over 3 hours. There are
currently 33 localities in the United States that exceed the
standard."
This 33 localities should be carefully investigated.

By any chance, are you related to Dr. Dasara Nagamani?
