Temps never before seen/recorded!

It's never happened before now. The local media reported that our high
temp was 99F today. To add insult, the heat index was 107F, and I
recall the day being past uncomfortable into the painfully hot region.
This temp and heat index has been ongoing for nearly 3 weeks now. I
was sure, since the media discussed it daily with special segments,
that these temps and heat indexes were record breaking. I was soon
disappointed.
After working my fingers off in my air conditioned house while sitting
in my $250 chair I learned the truth curtsey of the United States
Government. It turns out, not only is this current heat wave not the
biggest but it's not even in the top 10? Yes, their was the big one in
1931 which we all remember and the one in 1956 which as we all recall
was a scorcher. Mind you, most of the years listed were years before
the average income earner could afford to have an air conditioned
house.
If we cut off the power in a large portion of our country it wouldn'y
b long after the power came back on about the great heat wave of 2007
only to be reminded that during our tortured 7 days on no a/c that the
highest high temp was 91F and the humidity was so low that no heat
index was experienced.
I think people forget how we run in-and-out of air conditioned places
in a day. Our parents, grand-parents could tell you what HOT was
really like. HOT was being very hot and nothing more than some fan to
cool you. Sleeping was nearly naked, no covers because you wanted the
fan that you SHARED with the family to be able to hit as much of your
body as possible.
But let's just be a bunch of Tards and cry about our current heat wave
and call it "Man's worst heat wave EVER!"
Make it sound more important than it really is, do special reports on
the local news. Make the first 3 stories about the oppressive heat and
how deadly this livable heat 50 years ago can be to people. Also
include 'death of a pet' story, those really tug the heart.
I recall a friend away to college telling be about the oppressive
summer he spent in central michigan. He said the temp was in the upper
80s for a 2 week span. This was the kicker:All news outlets kept
reminding people to "check on the elderly", He and I laughed about
that for nearly 5 minutes straight! Why it was so funny is upper 80s
to us was usually "great weather" temp wise.
I bet the people in Florida think everyone is a *** too. Hell Fire,
Florida is hot, not JUST hot because they have constant humidity.
Can you all grow up or butch up?
90% of the bitching and moaning crowd would die from "no way-im" if
thrown to the 1800s in this country. "Pump for water?"
"No 'lectricity?" "No Interwebs? No googles?"
"It's 80F out here, we're gonna die, what we do?" answer from old
timer, "DIE then, your bitching and moaning is more deadly that the
blast furnace of hell!"
