So you think you can do better than your local weatherman/
weatherwoman? Here's your chance!
The 2008 Weather Dance!
The University of Michigan announces its annual Weather Dance
competition. In coincidence with the 2008 NCAA basketball tournament
(the "Dance" to sport fans) weather enthusiasts everywhere are
challenged to forecast which of the competing campuses of the
participating men's and/or women's tournament teams will be warmer (or
cooler) on game days. Last year the competition attracted over 2000
participants with about 500 K-12 teachers.
The competition is open to all with prizes to the highest scorers
including the special grand prize for K-12 teachers. The K-12 teacher
who earns the highest score will receive an invitation and $500 to
join the Texas Tech/University of Michigan Storm Chasing team this
spring for A DAY CHASING TORNADOES!
Play begins March 17 but you can register now. You will receive
periodic reminders as the game progresses.
