If the GPS software does actually shows a 3D image of the actual building
you are looking for it may be helpful.

That is a big task indeed. Even though the picture looks impressive I
suspect the geaografical area covered like that is very limited. And if that
is to be the way of the future I'm sure we will not see mapping software in
our stores anytime soon. (2010?).

Hard drives are not expensive. (I built a PC for my truck with a 120GB HDD,
I'm ready :-)
