That's OK, some of the review covers some of the same features the
76CS has. Just got mine on Thursday and LOVE it. The only feature I
would like to see added would be the "NEXT STREET" feature that the
old E-Map had. It comes in handy when you are going throug
subdivisions at night looking for a particular street, and also when
going down the road looking for a street that the 76CS does not have a
name for on the screen. Maybe Garmin will read this and add that very
nice feature. I disagree/agree with some of the opinions expressed
about the unit but then I never owned a 76S. I agree that there
should be an option of turning the status screen on/off, and GAMES?
They are nothing more then a marketing ploy. The memory could have
been better served with other useful features. You can access the
diagnostic screen by pushing the enter key and power on keys at the
same time. Useful for checking the voltage of your batteries. Since
I teach GPS classes at the local community education, I will put
together a class for the students of mine who bought the same unit
with me. But first I need to educated myself!!
