Does anyone know whatever registry edits, etc, are required to make
Windows 2000 (and thus the Mapsource application) think that a hard
drive is removable? The reason for this is that I would like to be able
to get Mapsource to write an .img map file to my hard drive for later
transfer to a compactflash card for a 2610. Mapsource will let you
create the .img file directly to a Compactflash removable storage device
but will not recognize external storage unless it is considered
removable by the OS. I'm hoping that if I make a hard drive appear
removable to Windows then Mapsource will also believe that it is
removable and I will be able to create mapset .img files directly to a
hard drive.
TIA for any information...
