This data isn't an algorithm... it's data attached to the map objects.. like
one way street, road type, no right turn here... .etc...

It has nothing to do with Mapsource, except that like the GPS, Mapsource
uses it when it calculates routes... If you GPS doesn't calculate routes,
then you can save memory in the GPS by not including it.

What changes with Mapsource is the complex algorith that uses this data to
determine an optimum route between A and B. If the Data is wrong, (like
they put a 'no right turn' in the wrong place, Mapsource (or the GPS) will
not be able to do anything about it. You'd have to wait for a new version of
the Map.
