I guess that part of what i'm asking is why the Meridian Gold is ~$100
cheaper than the Sportrak Pro. What I would likely do with the
Meridian is buy that unit and a 512 SD card for the same price
(approx) as an off the shelf Sportrak Pro or Topo. Is this a good
solution?
