I bought a Streetpilot III on 6/13/04. Installed whatever City Navigator
version it came with then found out that version 6.0 was out. I read on
another gps fourm about a guy who purchased his on 6/20/04 then called
Garmin about a free upgrade and they gave him the unlock code at no charge.
Today I did the same thing and it worked. The guy at Garmin was not the
friendliest person I have ever spoke with but I did get what I wanted so I
am happy. He told me I probably wouldn't even notice a difference but would
sent it to me if I wanted. Why wouldn't I want the newest version out?
