My laptop after starting is closed and wedged between the
bucket seats. In that location, I don't think that it is
going anywhere and it certainly is not going to be propelled
by the airbags. If it were where you place yours, it would
block air vents, radio and air/heat controls.

If you have yours mounted there, then great, but the average
person is not going to put their laptop on a mount, and if
they look at it, they are going to have to turn to look at
it. I have known drivers that could look to the side and
continue to drive out of peripheral vision, but they are few
and far between and I am not one of them. I will take
interactive voice recognition and prompts.
