There are many things that could account for that. Some are physical problems,
and some are logical problems. It might not be the rate. In fact, it is likely
not to be the rate. It is very easy to screw up the signal between the 3800 and
the switch. Simple, in fact.

AMI is quite common for a Titan, but how do you know what the DMS-500 is
looking for? I've been on lots of NT switches where the provisioner thought he
had it right, but he didn't.

Yes, that sounds like something that Symmetricom would tell a customer.

There are only about eighteen zillion 3800 units out there in the world.
