I've found that USAPhotomaps and still better ExpertGPS to be great
companions to MapSource. While MapSource shows great details, the topo
rasters and ortho aerials add a whole new dimension of detail.

Yep, there's a world of other stuff to learn about GPS & maps, but
these programs really cover almost everything I need (here in the US
anyway).
