Assuming the source data is the same (Yahoo! uses NavTeq data, as do
Magellan, Garmin and a number of OEM automotive systems), for the most
part they are roughly equivalent. There will always be some variance
in routes chosen if two similar paths result in near-identical travel
times, depending on such factors as the thoroughness of the search in
the routing algorithm, how much emphasis is placed on arterial roads
and freeways, etc.

If the GPS uses a different data supplier, then you might see more
variances.
