Most handhelds work pretty well on most aircraft.

I was answering the statement "...all the planes involved in 11-9 (9-11 for
USians) surely also had GPS equipment on board." of the prev. poster.

I don't know that the terrorists had handheld GPS at all during the flights, but
it would not be that much of a surprise.
