Look at the model industry. There are plenty there. Back in the 80's I
designed and built a unit that discharged and recharged a battery pack and
plotted it on the computer. You could see the deterioration of the cells on
the screen as they lost capacity. It was published in one of the radio
control magazines. That said any cell can fail at any time without
deteriorating. The best solution is carry a backup set of batteries,
especially if you are away from civilization......
