Downloading maps to Garmin 2610

I have just bought a Garmin Street Pilot 2610 and San*** 2 GB card. How do
I put all the maps onto this larger card. Do I follow the usual
instructions that come with the unit or can I use a reader and drag and
drop? I really appreciate any help I can get I am a beginner in all of
