With the US Topo and Canadian Topo maps loaded into my eTrex Legend
(firmware 3.2), I can see map features on both sides of the border --
unless the current position is too close to the border. At some
distance from the border, the basemap appears and I get the "overzoom"
warning. A little bit on either side of the border and the maps
reappear. This happens whether navigating or scrolling the map.

This is important to me as I spend a good amount of time canoeing very
near the border.

Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas? I have reported it to Garmin
