Autorouting in gpsmap60cs

I am finding in my New Zealand maps that the Autorouting does not use the
streets very efficiently but rather draws the purple line quite a bit of the
streets. Is this a problem with the maps maybe not supporting the Routing
feature or is it a deficiency of the 60cs.
