Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a change of accuracy with
their SporTrack MAP device after upgrading their system?
I upgraded to Firmware Rel V5.34 last month and also re-downloaded the
streets information for my area as well.
Since then my location as displayed on the screen has been off by as much as
500 feet. When I am driving down a street, the display shows me driving
through people's back yards, in rivers if I am driving next to a river, etc.
It shows me a half block from an intersection when I am sitting at a stop
light at the intersection, etc.
These a minor irritants since I still do know where I am, but prior to
upgrading to the new Firmware level my display was accurate to within a few
feet.
Is this the Firmware or is it the Military sending slightly incorrect data
to the GPS unit?
Have I missed something during the upgrade process such as doing some offset
adjustment, or such?
Any clues would be much appreciated.
Shy
