Mike, do you recall the original Phoenix Civic Plaza tax? It too was
supposed to expire after 20 years. It was made permanent when it's
time was up instead of disappearing. Plus I think a couple years ago
they added yet another tax on top of it for the latest expansion. At
least the new 20 year MAG sales tax goes to pay (except for the
trolley cars) for something useful.
