Garmin 60CS, saving tracks

Regarding the Garmin 60CS:
Looked through the manual for the answer to this but came up empty. I
thought I saw a post here about the device throwing out some data points (or
some of the data within individual points) when you save a track to the
device's memory. (As opposed to just transferring the active log to the
PC).
Any truth to this? If no one knows, I'll run the experiment myself.
