The maximum number of points in a saved track (saved on the GPS) is 500.
You can have up to 20 saved tracks.

If you save an active log to GPS storage, and the active log is more than
500 points, the GPS will resample the log to get 500 points total, so some
detail will typically be lost (however, I've found the saved log is usually
adequate).

You can also upload "tracks" from your PC to the GPS, and they go into the
"saved track" storage. I've found that is a good way to load complicated
potential routes -- I draw them on the PC, then upload them as tracks. If
you do that, you must set the uploaded tracks to be a color other than
"transparent."
