I was hoping to hear from someone who had done that. As far as
Trimble spec sheets go, their specs for the last Trimmark 3 radio I
used suggested a range of some handfulls of kilometers, but the agent
here could not make it work adequately at all with a month of screwing
around and full on support from Trimble USA, even at half a km. So
much for spec sheets.

What I want to know is will this equipment continue to work at say 30
or 40 or 50 kms range, albeit with reduced accuracy, or will it just
say "sorry - too faraway from base!" after 10 or 20 kms.

If 1 ppm is 1 part per million, then this is 1 additional centimeter
of error per million centimeters ??? That's 10,000 kms. What is
wrong with this picture?

Has anyone here done this? Does anyone here even use this equipment
or is this group strictly for consumer grade gps and products??

I'd appreciate having some input on this before going to the trouble
of buying additional communications gear and trying it myself.
