Thanks for the info, Bob.

If you upload maps to a Magellan unit using the new Topo software, would the
maps uploaded to the GPS show the 30 meter elevation grid? I've looked at
the Garmin 1:24k National Parks maps online, and they cover a lot of the
area I usually hike in. Do these maps upload to a Garmin unit with the good
detail? I geuss I'm down to figuring out which software program meets my
needs and allows detailed uploads to the GPS unit, and then choosing the
unit.
