I agree, and further that the advent of some of the new thechnology will
(yet again) allow us to use the gear in ways not currently imagined. I
would seriously doubt that a combined mobile device in 50 years time was
something that fits in your shirt pocket; more likely to be worn or
implanted(or a bit of both).
50 years was perhaps a bit too far; like you say, 10 years will be a huge
leap alone. I cant wait for something that interfaces directly with my
vision that simply overlays my GPS(or any of my mobile electronics) info
straight to my optic nerve. However, I think the doctor that is going to
insert the implant has nicked your flying car and legged it for the
Caribbean...
I do like that Meuller Sky-car, but it looks less and less likely it will
ever become a production reality, though...
