Hi Jeff,
The dilemma is that Garmin has multiple versions of "Que" software that
have different functionality. For example, the Palm based 3200/3600
versions and the Windows Mobile 2003 SE based M5 have the capability of
routing by Address Book/Contacts stored coordinates, but the iQue 1620
and the GPS 10 Que software lack this important option. The M5 Que
software is divided into modules. It would be extremely easy for Garmin
to have the same features available on the GPS 10 PDA and M5 versions of
Que. They have chosen not to do this.
It would certainly be nice to be able run Garmin software that has M5
equivalent functionality on a state of the art PDA like the HP iPAQ
HX4700 or the unfortunately no longer available Toshiba e800.
