Greg - thank you for the reply.
I need to ask you a few more questions. I contacted Sandisk concerning the
issues I'm having using their 256Mb+WiFi card. They mentioned to me that it
is likely that there is a compatability issue between Windows Mobile 2003
2nd Ed. and the driver they provide. They claim that the driver which
comes on the CD that came with the Sandisk card (ie. the CD offers a
choice of 3 different drivers: PPC 2002, PPC 2003, and Windows Mobile
2003) is meant for Windows Mobile 2003 but NOT the Second Edition which is
the OS that the M5 is loaded with. Not sure quite what to make of this
since you had no problems installing it and never did see the "Extension
slot: not in use" problem.
The second item I need to ask about concerns what driver name you see when
moving your mouse over the "Pocket PC 2003" link and then the "Windows
Mobile TM 2003" link when installing the Sandisk driver from the CD which
came with the card. On the disk I received with the card it shows:
file:///E:/English/Folder/Installation_PPC03.html
for BOTH of these links(?). I would think they would've pointed to
different places such that a different driver would get installed for each
OS type. Also checking the contents of the CD itseld, there does not appear
to be a separate folder designated for Windows Mobile 2003.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Tony
