Apologize for mot being clear, what I want to do with my garmin is to sync
it with street & trip, the problem with my garmin is that it doesn't use
the NMEA protocol when using the USB cord that was provided (its uses the
"garmin" protocol), my only choice here is to buy a serial cable and find a
way to hook it up with my laptop (which doesn't have any serial port).

So I was hoping someone might shed so light on this and have a work around,
like a plugin for street and trip that allows it to read the garmin
protocol.
