Probably not, but neither is the Garmin Quest which is supposedly coming out
with a motorcycle mount that supposedly has some sort of volume control.
Quest battery is built-in as well. Garmin seems to be pushing the Quest for
bikers due to size and the special mount (which no one has but Garmin seems
to say is available -- and so I wait!). Only drawback I have against Garmin
is their memory is always too little for what I need. Example, California
won't fit in the U.S. Garmin Quest model with City Select Version 6, but it
will fit in the European Quest which has 256 megs of memory (2X the U.S.
version memory).

Wasn't designed for a car from the name: TomTom Rider was designed for
motorcycles only. Don't think an antenna will be necessary for them.

It has a SD card slot so I will assume it loads data much as the Garmin 2610
does, only onto a smaller footprint card than Garmin's CompactFlash version
on the 2610. It'll be interesting to see the write-ups later when it
appears as to how its onboard route planning will go. The Quest doesn't do
bad with City Select 6 since it will auto-navigate a route on the fly and
you select a site to "Go To."

You need to factor in the "TomTom Rider's" Bluetooth receiver and headset
which the TomTom GO doesn't have or need. Plus, the mount may need to have
some sort of security protection for theft (easy-off or lockable mount) as
it'll be sitting out in the open inviting theft on a motorcycle.

Looks like a very good GPS unit for bikers. It appears someone did their
homework for it's specialized intent.
