Your BT GPS proll'y connects to the ipaq using a com port (virtual) and NMEA strings, if you go into the bluetooth connections area of you ipaq you should be able to see which com port it uses for outgoing and incoming messages. You will proll'y need to set the Pocket Topo for NMEA and whichever com port is used for outgoing ( or incoming different products call incoming as in to the ipaq or in to the BT GPS you'll have to experiment)
not too sure as i haven't had any experience with this particular set up, but I have set up other BT GPS units on Ipaq's and thats usually how it works.
Cheers

I just bought an iPAQ and a Bluetooth GPS unit (GlobalSat ST-338), and I have no clue on how to do what I want with this thing. In fact I'm not even sure I can do what I want.
What I would like to do is use my GPS unit to GPS the mountain bike trails that I ride on. And then take that information and create maps on my PC. I have a program called National Geographic Topo. And there is a Pocket Topo version that loads in the iPAQ, and I can copy maps to it from my PC. When I start the program on my PDA, Pocket Topo has an option to "track GPS current position". But I don't see that this is doing anything. It doesn't create way points, and it doesn't create a map.
The GPS unit came with a utility called GPSinfo. And if I start that on the pda, it does show the satellites that it sees and will give me my current position, so I know its working. Other than that, I'm completely lost (no pun intended).
I would appreciate any and all info. Thanks
