Lance,
I have no good information, but I would first try to put
batteries into the eMap and keep them in it for a few days. Try
switching it on again as often as possible. This may help.
If it still won't switch on after two or three days and after a
few dozen attempts, you may have to send it in.
My suspicion is that a capacitor has soured, but it could have
something to do with an internal backup battery as well.
I've also read the most peculiar advice in the preceding
messages, but I must admit that I don't believe a word of it.
