Noticed 2 upgrades for the etrex Summit: 2.50 and 3.30 [released 19 April]. Now I'd upgraded to 2.50 when it came out but couldn't be sure what was meant re the 3.30 upgrade - and went round in circles on the website:
"eTrex/eTrex Camo/eTrex Summit Ver. 3.30 as of April 19, 2005 Compatible with versions: 3.00 or greater "
Does that mean I can safely upgrade from 2.50 or not? Anyone upgraded from 2.50 to 3.30 and not wrecked their Summit?
Seemed rather odd to have 2 uploads available but not an intermediary - unless it was seriously flawed.
No you can't upgrade from version 2 to version 3+.
The version 3 eTrexs are a newer model, with different hardware inside them to support new features etc.
