Garmin 60CS and memory

Just bought a 60CS and MapSource Metroguide Europe.

Is it true that you cannot check the used/available memory?
How can I know which/how many maps I can upload on my unit?
Is there a way to check the used memory at least into the Mapsource
software?

Is it true that content and details are the same for Metruguide and
CitySelect, a part from autorouting features?
