So every time you want to download maps, you have to download every map you
want in the GPS using the download program... Mapsource is Garmin's program
for this and it tells you how much room is used by the selected map
tiles.... There is at least one other program to do this, but I'm not sure
if they tell you the size of the selected tiles.
I owned Metroguide Europe for my Vista before getting the 60C.... I
eventually upgraded to CitySelect because I wanted to be able to
autoroute... but more than that... Before, I could use Mapsource to make
routes on my computer and download them to my Vista... but Garmin cleverly
buggered that with the 60Cx's by causing any computer generated auto-routes
to only download with the start and end points (to the 60Cx)... which my 60c
would then try to route using the base map... autoroutes with the basemap
suck for me... I understand that there are work-arounds for this download
problem now (I used my Visa for a while, downloading the routes first to the
Vista, then transfering them to the 60C) now, but I don't know the links to
the program off hand.
