I think you've identified the same flaw I found - the cards! However, I'm
also confused by the fact that I can buy a 2610 ready to go (with a 128Mb
card and Nav software) at Radio Shack for $599 but general retail price for
the 276 is around $100 more than that, before I spend another $299 on the
Auto Nav kit. The Garmin website shows the 2610 being more expensive than
the 276. Marketing stupidity is an apt phrase!
