Please note that this newsgroup falls under the sci.geo heirarchy. It isn't
..alt nor .rec nor even exclusively GPS. If you object to the posting of
relevant scientific material such as this then you should either filter it
out or preferably shift your attention to alt.teletubbies.simple-gps! You
are the ONLY person who seems to object to the way that Sam flags up
potentially interesting information. He doesn't have to waste his time
posting abstracts for an ungrateful audience and it is churlish in the
extreme to castigate him for such heinous crimes as leaving in a bit of
capitalization or expecting you to have the common intelligence to realise
that the message subject is sufficiently detailed that he doesn't need to
add any further explanation along with a link. You can't expect every bit
of research to be of any direct interest to you - but that's the same with
any research publication - the other side of the coin means that it is
extremely easy to miss the items that you really would want to see,
particularly if you don't have the luxury of corporate on-line
subscriptions.
Those of us that are actually scientists in our day-jobs greatly appreciate
a newsgroup with some scientific content amongst all the "how do I turn my
GPS on" posts.
Grow up and shut up unless and until you are sure that you are contibuting
as much to this newsgroup as is Sam.
