Well this is the response from Garmin.............
" Thank you for contacting Garmin.
It is different for a Garmin because it is a Palm. These things may not be
perfectly suited for what you need, but they might help.
Route interfacing can't be done. There is something you can do with
waypoints and tracks. A couple of extras to download here, too.
Download and install the track conduit program.
http://www.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00264-00
With it, when you HotSync the unit, the tracks will be pulled from the
device to a file you can open up on the PC with the MapSource program. The
download will have some instruction on how all that works.
This might be handy in some cases, too (for saving contacts from the PC to
the device)...go back to the iQue page...download the iQue 3600 Transfer
Waypoint file and install it:
http://www.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00264-00
What you will do next is open MapSource...set waypoints you want to save to
the device. Save that MapSource file as an .mps file, with the waypoints in
it (FILE/SAVE AS/use the .MPS extension). Using the .mps extension for file
type is important in this.
Then open your Palm Desktop. Go to the Addresses page. Once you have
installed this Transfer Waypoints program, you will see a little "flag" (an
image is attached of what I mean) in Palm Desktop...click it...point it to
the saved .mps file...then save the waypoints you saved in that .mps file to
the contact list in Palm Desktop. Then, when you synch your unit again, they
will go to the unit and be in the "contact list." They are not "waypoints"
in the traditional sense, but they will come up in your contact information
in the device. It might be a useful conduit to you.
There is something else with the Transfer Waypoints that might come in
handy. If you highlight a Contact in Palm Desktop, you can edit its position
on the PC by selecting the CONTACT LOCATION item (it is the icon just to the
right of the "flag" in the attached image). You can see latitude/longitude
associated with it under EDIT LOCATION.
As I say, these things might not be perfect for you, but they could help.
Thank you again for your interest in Garmin GPS."
