I'm not sure if that is a "Yes" or a "No", lol
There are no clear cut yes or no answers when putting computer bits and pieces together in my experience. I was expressing a "maybe". :>)
I have Tom-Tom 3 and Co-pilot so I'll try them both when all the kit arrives chez moi. The next thing to find out is how long the battery will last on the tablet if I use the GPS without having it plugged into the car ciggie socket.
Do you have Tom Tom 3 with U.S. mapping data? I was wanting to try that software on an iPAQ 3765 for awhile but never did find a U.S. package. Looks like it was a big seller in the UK though. Now it is no longer listed on the Tom Tom products page so I guess it is discontinued.
The draw on the CFIO-GPS and PCMCIA adapter should be pretty small, like 30mA or so. If you have a feel for what the battery life should be it will be a little less than that.
One thing I don't like about the iPAQs is that when/if you let the batteries go flat you have to reload the operating system and restore or reinstall all your applications to get back to where you were.
