Thank you very much for that reply! Just a couple more questions if you don't mind :)
1) Is the Garmin StreetPilot 2610/2620 generally regarded as a better unit than the Quest aside from the screen size?
Depends on how you plan to use it. The 2610/20 would be better for long trips since it'll hold far more maps. The Quest would be better if you also want to use it while walking, on small boats, etc. where you don't have 12 VDC outlets.
2) Will a 2.2 Gig CF card hold all of the US and Canada detailed maps?
Yes.
3) Does the Garmin 26xx series have more Points Of Interest than the Quest, and are POIs upgradeable?
The POIs are the same for the CityNavigator (26xx) and CitySelect (Quest) map products. They both get annual updates of the POIs and the roads. The CN upgrades have been twice as expensive as the CS ones.
4) What is the general concensus between Mapsource City Select (used by Quest) and Mapsource City Navigator (used by StreetPilot) in terms of which is better/more detailed. Keep in mind I live in Toronto Canada. Or are they essentially the same product?
Not much difference. The CityNavigator maps include slightly more detailed turn directions in a few cases, but they are very similar.
The actual maps and POIs are identical.
