Id like to learn more about how GPS is used for land surveying. Can anyone point me toward any sources of information? Ive looked around at a lot of "surveying" type sites, but I find more info about the equipment being used than "how" GPS is actually used to produce a survey.
Thales Navigation (makers of the Magellan consumer grade products) also make and sell professional equipment. Working some of links from this page http://products.thalesnavigation.com/en/solutions/land/ will get you some more info on that. If you look for spec sheets and manuals for specific products, you can get an idea of the equipments used and how they are used.
