Take a look at Mapopolis, www.mapopolis.com
Mapopolis works well with a bluetooth GPS. No Palm will work with USB, since they are both slave devices. I use a serial GPS, a Garmin Legend, with my Palm, and am very happy with it. You have to get a handheld with a universal connector, though, because the ones with only a mini-USB port don't have a serial port, and can't connect with anything unless they have bluetooth.
Do you have the Navigator North America MapPak? If so, what do you think of that as far as the quality and currency of the data?
I've been thinking about buying that for use with a Tungsten T3.
