Take a look at the Garmin iQue 3600.
It's a PalmOS PDA, but with an integral WAAS GPS. It provides voice guidance
(get the car cradle and speaker) and multiple destination routing.
Real estate agents use the iQue to set up property tours: you can enter
addresses on your desktop, then hotsync to transfer them to the handheld (that's
a bit faster than using the handheld for data entry if you have a lot of
waypoints). You set a route to the first property, then add "via points," or
intermediate destinations. You can tell the iQue to arrange them for the
quickest route.
It is easily portable from one vehicle to another--the optional car
cradle/charger/speaker sits on the dash and plugs into the cigarette lighter in
the car.
This may sound like a commercial, but I am just a thoroughly enamored iQue user.
I've had mine for almost two years now, and it has been the best piece of
technology I've acquired in the last 20 years.
I bought mine at www.gpscity.com, but I think www.amazon.com has prices that are
about the same.
